Always Include Keywords

Keywords are important, so make sure that it’s there in your ads. The keyword is there to grab the attention of a prospect – and if a person doesn’t see what he’s looking for in your ad, he might just skip it and look at others. You must make sure that the keyword is in the ad and that the ad makes sense to your prospects. I know that fitting in all the information is such a short space can be quite difficult, but it can be done with some time and practice. It’s a waste of time, effort and opportunity, if you don’t include the keywords in your ads.

Making Use of Bidding Strategies – High to Low Bidding

Here’s a trivia: Google ranks your ads through two categories, your bidding price and the number of clicks or Click-Through-Rate (CTR). When your ad is displayed and being click on, the total count is called the CTR. Having a new account, you will have a lower quality score, which is normal. One way is to bid higher to get your ad shown. By bidding higher, you get more exposure and higher CTR. Once you get an established amount of CTR, then you can lower your bid price. You have to work within your budget and try to keep your ads within the first page without busting it.

Bidding from Low To High

Another method of bidding is by starting with low bids. This is best used for keywords that are less competitive and for people who have budget that are limited. You start off by placing a low bid price and then slowly increasing that price until you reach the first page. Again, you must try to land your ads on the first page with the lowest bid possible.

Try Negative Keywords

Negative keywords are used in order to prevent your ads from showing up in searches that are unrelated. There is a selected market of people you want to focus on and your ad must appears in front of them. Sometimes, by not using the negative keywords, your ad can appear in an unrelated search term and in front of the wrong audiences. Let say you are promoting dog collar and a keyword you used is “collar”. However, when someone type in the word “collar”, he may be looking for different information or different types of collar. It’s possible he’s just looking for collar for his cat. What you can do is to use the negative keywords function and add “cat” into it, so that your ad don’t show. It’s better to use the negative keyword especially you want to reduce unwanted ad exposure. This will increase your CTRs and give your website more relevant visitors.

Test Ads

Testing ads is very important,Google can be a pain in the neck to use at times, but one good thing about it is that testing in Google can be automatic. Simply put 2 different ads into an AdGroup and Google will display them alternately. After sometime, Google will decide which ad works best and use it more often. If you have numerous ads, you can repeat this process until you find the perfect ad for your campaign.

Being the biggest search engine in the entire world, Google has millions of ads placed everyday. If you want to make sure that your Google campaign is successful, all you need to do is to know what is important. Follow these tips and continue to improve your knowledge Google .
