Do You Have Party Manners? You’ll Know if You Read On!

This dialogue will help you be a bit more socially responsible.  This may not make you the king of the ball, but it’s a little help.

Everyone knows that you must bring a treasure to a kickin , don’t you?  The guilt starts when you see goers bearing a bottle of wine, or fancy wrapped package.  Why do we do this?

Please don’t consider manners as a social rule to rage against.  Politeness and consideration go a long way to make a host feel good (and have another .)  It can never hurt to arrive with a gift.  A lot of people bring wine, or liquor to a social gathering, but depending on the event, it’s not always the best choice. Unless your guest’s have health problems, or are morally opposed to it, is a wonderful gift.  You can find excellent gourmet coffees online that are fresh roasted and reasonably priced (avoid stale stuff from stores.  You can always go the route of the local, tropical, alcohol free, fruit drink.  If you’re still in considering finding the perfect drink gift, you may want to consider fruit teas.  They are a sure crowd pleaser, with little to boohoo about.  There are so many flavors out there, that the skies the limit.  Right now, Constant Comment Raspberry is making it’s way into every batch of iced tea that I create.

By now you’re probably thinking, “what’s up with all the drink ideas?”  So for you, we continue.  If you would rather bring something to enjoy as a group, rice crackers and hummus or chips and salsa are going to be a real winner.  Gluten-free, and egg free, there is almost no one that cannot partake in this fabulous.  Don’t just bring everything in a brown paper bag.  Think artistic presentation!  You can purchase a colorful, plastic platter, for just about nothing.  It will make all the difference in the world.  Keep your eye out for sales on serving dishes at retailers and even yard sales.  Make sure you provide a card so that they know the plate doesn’t have to be returned at all.

If you don’t like the idea of food or drink you may want to consider bringing flowers, a gift basket, or a potted plant.  Unless you know the host would really like it, avoid bringing such as hard alcohol, or firearms.  Remember, no gift is complete without your hand written, and lovingly autographed card.  Not only is it a good idea, but it cements the fact that you did bring something!

Mayber you’re still finding it difficult to think of a gift, then go check out the coffee gifts from Nectar of Life .  You can’t go wrong with Nectar of Life.  Not only are they a organic Fair Trade roaster and artisan, but they specialize in organic Fair Trade coffee.
