Is Your Keywords Costing You Money?
Every person who hopes to make money with Internet Marketing knows how important keywords are. If you don’t, you can forget about being successful. Keywords are what drives visitors to our sites and allow us to make that money. If we didn’t have keywords, there would be no income for us marketers!
A lot of marketers get lazy and do not check up on their keywords. Just because you had some keywords at one time that brought in traffic, doesn’t mean they will always be popular. That’s one reason you should take the time to stop and check on your keywords.
The time that any of us have to work on our websites is valuable. Continuing to optimize your website for keywords that aren’t used any long will make it difficult for you to make money. For example, it wouldn’t do you much good to be working on keywords about Christmas in the middle of March. No one is looking to buy Christmas gifts at Easter.
Another reason to continually check up on your keywords is so that you’ll be able to find new keywords as they become popular and will help you get cash faster. There are new celebrities coming into the industry all the time. The new celebs create buzz and thus generate new searches. This is a good example of new keywords showing up that you need to be aware of. Continually ditching old keywords that do not make money and optimizing your site for new ones that do will guarantee you income for a long time.
While some niche keywords just disappear, other change to reflect the times. You’ll need to be on the watch for this. Wise niche marketers will be diligent in getting rid of these non profitable keywords and optimize their pages for new, more valuable keywords. It just doesn’t pay to keep non profitable keywords around. You’ll just waste time and money by continually optimizing pages for them.
To be consistently profitable, you’ll need to ever watchful over your keyword list, getting rid of ones that are no longer searched for and replacing them with hot new keywords everyone is using. Hey, if someone has to pick non paying keywords, let it be your competition. You work on getting thos new, high paying keywords in your list and optimize your website for them!
