Keyword Research Services - A Godsend Or A Rip Off?

Are you like me and struggle with keyword research? Finding isn’t actually the problem. The problem is though that most are next to useless, or at least seem to be.

I thought the data from Google’s keyword tool was always bang on. I mean, they wouldn’t be telling fibs about their data, would they? Well, that’s not always the case.

Any data you get isn’t accurate. However it would have been when they collated it. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.

I was going for a keyword that had roughly five thousand competing pages. I felt I could do well with that one. So I set out putting articles out. Lots of articles.

Not long after I saw that there were now almost nine thousand competing sites. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? As it happens most of these extra results were my articles on these different sites.

The point I’m trying to get across is that had I looked at the keyword with 9000 competitors, I would have left it alone. A lot of these sites were ranking with my article so I had a lot of competition but most of it was my own articles. A great result in the end for that key phrase.

Anyway, I decided to give a keyword research service a try as I couldn’t count on getting lucky every time. Getting a daily list of quality sent is something that appeals to me. I calculated the cost against the time it would take me and it seemed a value for money concept.

There were a few to choose from but I went with Travis Sago and his Instacash service. Let’s face it, Travis is THE bum marketer. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.

If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. For what the service costs each day against my 2 hours means I’m getting huge value.

Outsourcing, outsourcing, outsourcing. Seems to be all you hear from the gurus of internet marketing. I reckon there’s not much difference here. I’m simply outsourcing the job to a service.

If you’re interested in how the trial of the Instacash service went then head on over to my web site. Earlier I mentioned that I ended up with thousands of articles on websites for a certain keyword. I’ll let you know how I did that on my site
